I was peachy keen excited to watch this movie. How did the CIA actually start? And a love story as well? Wow! This'll be GREAT!

But not even Angelina Jolie could kick start this slow and boring piece of complete drivel. Maybe I shouldn't have been drunk when I started this particular DVD, but I certainly couldn't have lasted as long I did while sober. Oh. My. God. Could Robert de Niro have directed a more boring movie? Is it 1961? Is it 1939? What darn year is it, matey? Matt Damon, as a supposedly cold personality who doesn't mind (eventually) being pissed on during a College initiation ceremony, just comes across as wooden. Bring back Jason Bourne, I say! And despite the warm, honeyed tones of William Hurt (I could listen to him all. night. long. Mmm! Mmm!) I switched this movie off after 30 minutes to watch a rerun of War of the Worlds.

The only amusing part in this movie was when Angelina Jolie jumped Matt Damon's bones.
Other than that - snore worthy!
Such a waste of a great cast, Rosanna. It could have been so good, but it was sooo bad.
Sounds dreadful. Still, since Ms Jolie donates a third of her salary to charity even a piece of crap like that is doing some good to someone!
eh. It certainly dragged on.
But no worse than the average Clint Eastwood film.

Emma, the lovely Angelina certainly tries to be a good person. I think she is quite admirable.
GW, I am sputteringly speechless! Although I did hate Million Dollar Baby, but I like to think of that film as an aberration

I know. But I think it's fair to say that his movies have become more ponderous (and not in a good way) as years have gone by.
I LOVED 'Play Misty for Me'. Loved it. 'Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil' was....not as good as the book. And 'Unforgiven' = awesome.
But 'Mystic River' dragged on so long I went to bed, 'Absolute Power' and 'True Crime' were formulaic at best and don't even get me started on 'The Bridges of Madison County'.
This is the man, let us not forget, who thought 'Space Cowboys' was worth making*.
* which, incidentally, I have also seen, but only because my friend M. got free tickets.
I forgot about 'The Bridges of Madison County'. Total and utter craperama. And more than a little creepy.
I tend to only think of 'Unforgiven' and the other goodies when it comes to Clint. I'm obviously so disturbed by the awfulness of some of his movies that I wipe them completely from my memory.
